Mike Lefkowitz

Born in Poland and lived in Israel prior to immigrating to the United States as a teenager. Studies were in Electrical Engineering, receiving a BS from the Cooper Union and MS from NYU. Also studied Management at Stanford University. Married with three grown children and seven wonderful grandchildren.

Currently a principal with The SEMEL Group, based in Irvine, CA providing advice to technology start-ups and social benefit organizations in their philanthropic endeavors. Prior to the present position, spent 6 years with the Samueli Foundation, founded by Susan and Henry Samueli. While at the Foundation, among other major projects, Mike’s community projects included the Orange County JCC and the Sala and Aron Samueli Holocaust Memorial Library at Chapman University. Other experience includes over 30 years of engineering, research, marketing, and management experience in Technology companies, starting at Bell Laboratories where he received patents in the field of Data Communications.
