Idan Maor was born and raised in Jerusalem where he studied Percussions (Vibraphone/Drums), Singing, and Writing at the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance High School. During his studies he won many awards and scholarships and performed at many venues and prestigious concerts. Idan Graduated with Honors.

He then opened a music studio, focused on music production and vocal coaching. Idan’s music studio quickly became profitable, and he decided to advance his musical education at Rimon Music School.

Idan embarked on his next adventure, Computer Eng. and Applied Physics at The Hebrew University. He was elected to head of the student body of the Exact Science campus of HUJI, where he initiated entrepreneurship programs and developed relationships with top tech companies in Israel. While studying he conducted award-winning research under Prof. Yaakov Nahmias. Idan graduated from HUJI as the Valedictorian.

18 months ago, Idan and his best friend Adam founded ScaleAbout. As Co-Founder and CEO, he triggers inspiration from his years as a musician, and cultivates the enormous power of collaboration. He believes that there is nothing more beautiful than our ability as human beings to conceive and share ideas, whether it’s the rhythm and notes or creating groundbreaking technology.
