Saul Koder serves currently as a partner and Director R&D and QA at Eshbal Functional Food Ltd. Eshbal currently manufactures various products from commodities to specialties. Our company vision is to move away from the commodities and focus in innovative functional foods and to provide solutions in this developing field. Saul’s responsibility is to develop quality based products; he is also responsible for developing new opportunities. From 2011 till joining Eshbal, he served as a partner and VP development at Eshbal Trade Ltd. Prior to this, he was the CEO and partner of Karmat Coating Industries. From 1986 to 2004, he held several positions at Gadot Biochemical Industries, including VP Business development, Fermentation and QA manager, process engineer. Saul specializes in industrial-scale fermentations, scale-up from lab to industrial production, microencapsulation technologies and functional ingredients for fortification of food.
He holds an MSc in Industrial microbiology and EMBA from Tel Aviv University.
