Ron Efroni Rotman

Ron Efroni was born in Israel and raised in California until he returned to Israel to serve and volunteer as a lone soldier in the IDF. Ron served as a programmer and a program team leader in the elite technological unit in the IDF for four years.

Through his work in the army, Ron oversaw and led a team of programmers to build large scale field operational intelligence platforms. During his service Ron finished his studies of BSc. in Computer Science and Math with highest cum laud honors. In 2016 Ron saw a deep need to provide a solution to a difficult pain point parents and students are facing every morning when they are waiting for the school bus and again in the afternoon waiting for their kids to return home. As such Ron started Slyde to bring the solution to the mass with his fellow service friend Gil.

Ron led Slyde from an idea to a full-scale platform and is now leading the deployment in the Illinois schools system in the USA.

In his minimal free time, Ron volunteers and contributes to the community, and in 2018 Ron was recognized as a distinguished mentor at an Israeli teen entrepreneurship program where he volunteers on a weekly basis. There he connects and helps young high school students develop ideas and turn them into reality.
