Kobi Olin

Kobi began his career at Scitex as a programmer. Later he shifted fields to become a derivatives floor¬-trader on the Tel¬ Aviv stock exchange, which led him to co-found a financial startup, where he developed a successful, arbitrage algorithmic-trading system. As VP BD with Nova (NASDAQ:NVMI), Kobi formulated strategies for growth in the semiconductor market. At Orbotech (NASDAQ:ORBK), Kobi served in various roles among them, Investment Manager with the Corporate VC and BD Director where he instigated and brought to fruition the successful $300M acquisition of a silicon valley company. Kobi also served as VP BD with AVT (DAX:VSJ).
Later Kobi was the co-¬founder & CEO of Qlight Nanotech, a nanotechnology startup commercializing a Quantum-¬Dot technology, developed at the Hebrew University. Under his leadership the company was awarded the “2013 Nanotechnology Company of the Year” prize by Israel’s Office of the Chief Scientist. At Qlight Kobi engaged in a strategic partnership with Merck, the German chemical conglomerate, which later acquired the company.
Currently, he is a co¬-founder & CEO of a startup commercializing a groundbreaking battery technology invented at the Technion.
Kobi holds an MBA-Technology Management Major and a BSc in Mathematics, both from Tel Aviv University.
