Joel Calvo is a seasoned keynote speaker, leadership mentor, strategic advisor, and Board member with over 40 years of executive experience in the financial services industry.

His career includes C-level, Board Chair and Executive Committee roles across a broad spectrum of organizations, including national mutual fund companies, broker/dealers, banks, municipal finance, commodity firms, hedge funds, insurance companies, and real estate partnerships.

Today, Joel focuses on empowering CEOs and leadership teams through mentoring and speaking engagements. He offers strategic guidance on business turn-arounds, leadership, investor relations, and Board governance. He is a dedicated mentor with the Merage Institute and has been a keynote speaker for prominent organizations such as Start-Up Nation, Google, and the University of California, Irvine.

Joel has also contributed his expertise as a Board and Executive Committee member to a wide range of civic and academic institutions including, the Vancouver Economic Commission, UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, to name a few.
